Post-Operative Care

All our therapists have extensive experience working in the post operative setting. Research shows early hand therapy intervention following surgery maximises patients’ recovery and reduces the chance of complications like finger stiffness, persistent oedema, and scarring. We can provide:

• Wound care (including suture and staple removal)
• Custom thermoplastic splinting
• The most up-to-date evidence based early mobilisation and splinting programs following flexor and extensor tendon repair;
• Active and passive mobilisation as required following finger, hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow fractures
• Oedema management
• Scar management
